Meet Ms. ThibaultI am thrilled to be teaching second grade at Queen Anne Elementary School and to meet all the students and families in the 2016-17 school year.
I started teaching at my first job as a swim instructor when I was 16. From there, I gained experience teaching, coaching and tutoring in Minnesota and at the University of Wisconsin - Madison. Finally, the past two years I co-taught at Spruce Street School, an independent school located near Denny Triangle in downtown Seattle. My first year, I was in a 4th/5th grade classroom, and my second year, I co-taught in a Kindergarten/1st grade classroom. I had excellent role models to guide my own teaching practice and to give me plenty of ideas for my own classroom. |

When I heard about Queen Anne Elementary, I was drawn in by its use of project-based learning and focus on social-emotional learning. I was then surprised and delighted to find out about the school's use of and access to technology in the classroom.
When I'm not in classroom, I enjoy hiking, backpacking, bicycling, reading, playing softball, and hanging out with my partner, Carlos. We both moved to Seattle in 2010 from the Midwest, and we are both still discovering all that the Northwest has to offer.
